Summary on William Samoei Ruto

Published on 2024-08-30 18:27:43

William Ruto's presidency in Kenya has been marked by a chaotic and reckless approach to governance that borders on sheer incompetence. His so-called "transformative" policies are more akin to disastrous experiments, carried out with little regard for their long-term consequences or the well-being of the citizens they purport to help.

Ruto rushes through reforms and projects without proper planning, skipping essential steps like public consultation or thorough feasibility studies. The result? Policies that are half-baked, poorly implemented, and ultimately doomed to fail.

Under Ruto's watch, Kenya has become a playground for ill-conceived initiatives that waste colossal amounts of public funds.   Projects are launched with grand promises but are underfunded from the start, leading to inevitable delays, cost overruns, or complete abandonment.

Tendering processes are a mess, riddled with corruption and favoritism, ensuring that even when projects do move forward, they often do so with shoddy workmanship and inflated costs.

When these projects inevitably collapse or fall short of expectations, Ruto doesn't face the music or learn from his mistakes. Instead, he relaunches the same failed initiatives, dressing them up as new achievements, hoping the public’s short memory will allow him to escape accountability.

It's a cynical PR stunt, nothing more—a way to appear busy while avoiding the real work of governance.

Moreover, Ruto has effectively turned parliament into his personal rubber stamp, bulldozing through legislation to cover up the mess his administration keeps creating.

Rather than addressing the systemic issues his government exacerbates, Ruto pushes through quick fixes that only entrench the problems further, all while undermining Kenya's democratic institutions.

His leadership style is reckless, self-serving, and ultimately destructive. He leaves a trail of failed policies, wasted money, and broken promises.
